The Battersea Power Station Development Company has secured a £280 million refinancing loan to progress the completion of the remaining 16 acres of this landmark riverside site in London. The development, centred on the restoration of the Grade II*-listed power station, integrates residential, commercial, and leisure spaces within a carefully revised masterplan by Studio Egret West.
From a construction management perspective, this infusion of capital is critical in maintaining momentum on a complex project where heritage preservation intersects with large-scale urban regeneration. The site’s ongoing works include two new Gehry Partners-designed buildings, Prospect Place South, featuring approximately 300 new homes alongside commercial and community facilities. Planning permission for 200 additional high-quality council homes further highlights the multifaceted nature of the project, combining public sector partnerships with private development.
